In DD, there are both lots of things that escape your control, and a lots of things directly under your control. Having a lot of things happening without you controlling them is not the same as having a little agency. It's fine if people don't like the game, but it's another matter entirely to devolve it into something it's not.ġ. This ties into the strategy you seem to think doesn't exist. There's even corpse removal skills, though I don't ever use them because it makes more sense to bring a well-rounded party capable of hitting enemies no matter where they are. If you can't find strategy in DD, you're bad at the game and need to learn how to play.Ĥ) Corpse mechanic gives incentive to bring a varied amount of heroes who can target different positions, which in turn gives each class defined strengths and weaknesses. It's not the games fault if people are too blind to use options offered to them.ģ) This is like saying there's no strategy in any video game because everything can be devolved with just two actions. RNG is just the global scapegoat for people who don't understand the game and it bandwagoned hard. Everyone always claims the RNG is extremely unfair then they ragequit. Learn how to make the RNG work for you instead of against you.
